Warren ‘Bullet’ Bell

Bullet, born in Findlay, was all-Ohio in basketball playing on strong Findlay Trojan teams in 1938, 1939, and 1940 coached by Carl Bachman. He attended SMU on a basketball scholarship briefly before enlisting in the military for World War II. After the war he was involved in professional basketball including being a team manager for the Old Dutch Brewery team in Findlay. He married pro golfer Peggy Kirk in 1952 and together they purchased the Pine Needles country club in North Carolina turning into a world class golf resort destination. The resort is family owned today.
