Hiram P. Crouse

Hiram Crouse was the father of Russel Crouse. He was a newspaper editor and publisher who worked in Findlay then moved to Toledo and founded what became The Toledo News-Bee, which was absorbed by the Toledo Blade in the 1930s. Later lived in Hamilton County, Ohio and worked in insurance. Was well known in Ohio Republican circles including being Chair of the state GOP. Hiram is buried in Findlay.
