Played and coached at the University of Findlay. Coached 10 years at the collegiate level at Kent State (2009), Miami (Ohio) (2005-08, 2001-02), Western Kentucky (2003-04). Aukerman made his NFL coaching debut with Denver in 2010. He also has had coaching stints on the NFL staffs of the Jacksonville Jaguars (2011-12), Chargers (2013-15, 2016), Tennessee Titans (2017-2023), Los Angeles Rams (2024), and Miami Dolphins (2025-) Grew up in McComb.
