An actor during the golden age of Hollywood. She also was a major star on Broadway and in Vaudeville. From one of her successful Broadway roles, she played the titular role in the first full-length screen comedy, “Tillie’s Punctured Romance” (1914), opposite Charlie Chaplin and Mabel Normand. She won a Best Actress Oscar in 1931 for the movie “Min and Bill” Lived in Findlay as a child through her teen years.
